Building a Purposeful Business with the 12 Universal Laws
The 12 Universal Laws are ancient principles rooted in both spiritual and energetic understanding of the universe. These laws explain how energy flows and connects everything—from our thoughts and actions to the outcomes we experience. They offer a framework for achieving spiritual growth, aligning with the mind-body connection, and using energetic attunement methods to create a life and business that reflects your values and purpose.
How I Use the 12 Universal Laws in My Business
These are more than just spiritual ideas—they’re practical tools. By integrating them into my mindset, decision-making, and alignment practices, I’ve created a business that aligns with my core values and feels purposeful, sustainable, and fulfilling. Here’s how I apply each law:
1. The Law of Divine Oneness
Everything is interconnected, and our actions influence the greater whole.
I strive to create value that uplifts my clients and the wider community.
When I’m coaching or guiding women through my programs, I see firsthand how alignment creates transformation. For example, when a client begins to attune their actions with their values, the changes they experience aren’t limited to their personal growth—they extend to their families, workplaces, and communities. It’s like planting a seed that grows into a tree, offering shade and fruit to everyone nearby. This perspective fuels my work because I know every aligned step a client takes carries the potential to shift entire ecosystems, cultivating connection and positive change on a much larger scale. Ripple Effects in Action.
2. The Law of Vibration
Everything vibrates at a specific frequency, including our thoughts and emotions.
Gratitude and slowing down is key to raising my frequency. Each morning, I practice gratitude to align my energy with abundance. For instance, I place my hands on my heart, take a deep breath and list three things I’m thankful for (this is all before my feet even swing out of bed). By intentionally slowing down and not simply springing out of bed, I prime myself to stay present, access clarity, and be attuned to higher frequencies that support both personal and professional alignment.
3. The Law of Correspondence
Our outer world reflects our inner world.
This idea is deeply profound and speaks to the interconnectedness of all aspects of our lives. Essentially, the state of our external reality—our business, relationships, environment, and even the way we experience day-to-day challenges—is a mirror for what’s happening within us. When we take time to understand our internal landscape, we gain insights into how we can shape and shift the outer world around us.
If I feel disorganised or overwhelmed internally, my business or personal environment will likely reflect that chaos. Maybe my schedule becomes cluttered, or I start missing deadlines or losing focus. Conversely, when I take time to ground myself, to clear mental and emotional clutter, my external world often follows suit. Things begin to flow more smoothly, decisions become easier, and opportunities arise more naturally.
The same applies to our energy—when we’re internally balanced and aligned with our values, we attract circumstances, clients, and collaborators who resonate with that same energy. And of course, the opposite is also true: if there’s an inner conflict or unresolved issues, that energy can manifest externally, leading to challenges or misunderstandings with others.
As a coach, mentor, and business owner, this connection is something I’ve learned to pay close attention to. I regularly check in with myself, not just in terms of how my business is doing, but how I’m feeling emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. If things aren’t aligning externally, I know it's an invitation to look inward. It’s about creating that harmony within myself first so that my business and relationships can reflect that balance.
The outer world can also be a tool for self-awareness. For example, if I find myself frustrated by a situation or person, it’s often a clue to explore what's happening within me—what might this frustration be reflecting? It could reveal areas where I need to set better boundaries, practice more self-compassion, or recalibrate my approach.
Ultimately, it’s a reminder that our internal state has a profound influence on the external world we create. When we focus on cultivating peace, clarity, and alignment inside, those qualities begin to reflect back to us in our daily lives.
When I feel overwhelmed in my business, I step away from my laptop and go for a walk or roll out my mat. Once my head is clearer, I may ask some questions of myself. For example, if my schedule feels chaotic, I ask: "What’s happening internally that’s creating this external experience?" This helps me recalibrate and ensure my external reality mirrors my internal clarity and focus.
4. The Law of Attraction
Like attracts like. We manifest what we focus on.
The concept of "like attracts like" extends deeply into the realm of emotions and energy. Our emotional state and the energy we emit are magnetic—they attract similar energies and emotions into our lives. It’s like a vibrational frequency: when we are in a positive, high-energy state, we attract experiences and people who mirror that positivity. Similarly, if we’re in a lower emotional state or feeling stuck, we tend to attract situations that reflect that energy.
Think about it this way: when we are feeling confident, grounded, and positive, we radiate an energy that invites opportunities and people who resonate with that energy. For example, a business owner who is clear on their vision and excited about what they’re creating will naturally attract clients who are equally excited and aligned with their mission. The energy of enthusiasm and belief in one’s purpose is magnetic, and people are drawn to that.
On the flip side, if we’re feeling stressed, doubtful, or uncertain, that energy can also attract similar vibrations. When we’re in a state of fear or scarcity, we might find ourselves focusing on problems rather than solutions, and as a result, we attract more challenges. This doesn't mean that we’re attracting bad things on purpose, but rather that we’re aligning ourselves with situations that match the energy we’re putting out into the world.
Emotions, at their core, are energy in motion—our feelings literally create a force field around us that either opens us up to opportunities or closes us off. For example, when we feel joyful, inspired, or grateful, we’re emitting high-frequency energy that invites more of those same positive experiences. On the other hand, feelings like anger, frustration, or sadness carry denser energy that can sometimes attract more negative or challenging situations.
The key is to recognise that we can shift our emotional state and, by extension, the energy we put into the world. By aligning our emotions with the outcomes we want, we invite those very things into our lives.
In my own business, I’ve seen firsthand how shifting my emotional state has shifted what I attract. When I approach a new project with excitement and positive energy, everything flows with more ease. Clients show up, ideas come easily, and opportunities arise that align with that energy. But when I’m feeling overwhelmed or unsure, I can almost feel the tension in the air, and that energy can keep the flow blocked.
Ultimately, the law of "like attracts like" in terms of emotions and energy is about becoming aware of the emotions we’re carrying and being intentional about shifting them when needed. It’s about cultivating the emotional state that aligns with our goals, desires, and vision. The more we embody the energy of what we want to attract, the more we naturally invite those things into our lives.
5. The Law of Inspired Action
Intentions must be paired with purposeful steps.
I trust my intuition and take small, aligned actions that feel authentic. For instance, instead of overplanning, I act on ideas that feel energising and aligned, whether it’s launching a new program or reaching out to a potential collaborator. It’s so easy to get swept up in the excitement of new ideas or opportunities and dive straight in without fully clarifying intentions and setting clear boundaries. But I’ve found that when I’ve acted too quickly—I’ve ended up feeling drained and overwhelmed. It’s like I’ve been swept along by the current without considering if it’s the direction I truly want to go.
This has led to moments where I felt completely off-track, and, honestly, I’ve ended up in tears. It’s the emotional toll of trying to hold too many things together when they weren’t aligned with what I truly needed. When I don’t take those small, purposeful steps—grounded in my values and what actually feels right for me—it feels like I'm pushing against the current, and that tension always leads to burnout or frustration.
What I've realised is that clarity is everything. It’s about taking those quiet moments to check in with myself, feel into what really resonates, and then move forward in a way that feels aligned. Without that step, even the best intentions can turn into a source of overwhelm instead of empowerment.
6. The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy
Energy is constantly shifting and can be transformed through intention.
It's fascinating how we're often not taught the art of play in business. From the moment we step into the world of entrepreneurship or leadership, it’s all about strategy, productivity, and results. But what we don’t hear enough is how the most creative breakthroughs and insights can actually come from the moments where we allow ourselves to play—experiment, explore, and even fail.
Energy is constantly shifting, and the key is learning how to transform it. This is where intention becomes powerful. When we consciously direct our energy, we can shift our business dynamics from stagnation to fresh momentum. For me, this practice often starts with energetic alignment. It’s about clearing out any stuck energy that’s holding me back and opening up space for creativity to flow.
Whether it's through breathwork, movement, or simply allowing myself to brainstorm freely without judgment, I find that I can enter a state of flow—where new ideas, new possibilities, and new opportunities start to reveal themselves. In these moments, it’s less about forcing a result and more about embracing the fluidity of the process. That’s where the magic happens.
The beauty of this approach is that it’s not just about the business side of things. It's about tapping into a deeper, more intuitive layer of creativity, where the lines between work and play blur, and the energy I bring to my business becomes a reflection of that balance. This is the kind of energy that fuels authentic growth because it’s not just about moving forward; it’s about moving forward in alignment with who I truly am.
7. The Law of Cause and Effect
Every action creates a ripple effect.
Every action we take in business creates a ripple effect, even when we don’t always see the immediate impact. That’s why I focus on consistency and delivering value in a way that’s deeply aligned with my client's needs and my own values. It’s not just about ticking boxes or hitting targets; it’s about investing energy into actions that truly resonate. I trust that the energy I put into my business will return to me—not necessarily in the form of a direct transaction, but in meaningful ways that bring deeper connection and fulfilment.
In this process, presence becomes the highest form of currency. People crave genuine connection and they want to feel truly seen and witnessed. It’s the feeling of someone being fully present with you, listening deeply, and engaging with your needs—not just as a client or customer, but as a person.
When I show up with presence, it’s not about offering empty words or fleeting gestures. It’s about holding space for others to feel valued, to feel understood, and to feel that their experience matters. This kind of attention and intentional energy has a way of creating a ripple effect, where people feel inspired to show up in their own lives with that same level of presence. And in turn, the trust and respect that I cultivate with my clients come back to me, building a deeper, more authentic connection.
At the end of the day, presence isn’t just an action—it’s an offering. It’s an exchange of energy that goes beyond the transactional and moves into the realm of meaningful human connection, which is where true growth happens.
8. The Law of Compensation
You’re rewarded for the value you provide.
Compensation isn’t just about money—it’s about the value you provide and the energy you put out into the world. Yes, money is a tangible form of compensation, and it’s necessary to sustain and grow a business. But it’s only one piece of the puzzle. When you truly understand the impact of the value you offer, the rewards come in many forms—whether that’s through the trust you build with your clients, the positive feedback you receive, or the sense of fulfilment that comes from knowing you're making a difference.
That’s why generosity is so central to my business model. I believe that by giving—whether it’s through sharing knowledge, creating meaningful resources and experiences, or simply going the extra mile for my clients and community - abundance naturally flows. It’s not about expecting something in return every time; it’s about creating a cycle where what I give back to the world is met with gratitude, growth, and often, unexpected opportunities.
By offering value without the attachment to instant rewards, I build deeper connections with my clients. They feel supported and cared for, and that creates a foundation of trust and respect. This, in turn, attracts more opportunities, more clients, and more growth, but it doesn’t come from chasing profit. It comes from being genuinely generous and putting the focus on serving others in meaningful ways.
When you’re generous with your time, your expertise, and your energy, the universe has a way of returning it, not just in financial ways, but in deeper, more fulfilling rewards that align with your bigger purpose. It’s about creating a flow of abundance that doesn’t just benefit you—it benefits everyone in your community.
9. The Law of Relativity
Everything is relative and depends on our perspective.
Everything is relative, and how we perceive challenges determines how we respond to them. When faced with difficulties, I reframe them as opportunities for growth, recognising that every situation—whether it’s a tough client interaction or a missed opportunity—offers a lesson if I choose to see it that way.
This perspective is also so important when I remember that everyone is going through their own struggles. People’s actions or reactions often reflect what’s happening in their own lives, not necessarily a reflection of me. As a coach, mentor, or teacher, it’s my responsibility to hold space for others without absorbing their emotional baggage. By setting clear boundaries and staying grounded, I ensure I’m able to support others without losing my clarity or taking on their stuff.
At the same time, my perspective allows me to accept responsibility for areas where I can do better. By acknowledging where I can improve—whether in communication or boundaries—I can grow and refine my approach. This blend of self-awareness and perspective allows me to be both empathetic and accountable, creating an environment of continuous learning and growth for myself and my clients.
Ultimately, everything is relative. When I shift my perspective, I can turn challenges into growth opportunities, recognise the emotional context of others, and hold myself accountable—all of which allow me to maintain clarity, presence, and a healthy sense of responsibility.
10. The Law of Polarity
Every situation has an opposite.
This law teaches that everything has an opposite, and these opposites exist on a continuum. For every positive, there is a negative; for every up, there is a down; for every light, there is a dark. This law helps us understand that challenges and successes, joy and struggle, ease and resistance are all part of the same process, and one allows us to appreciate the other. In business, you’ll face highs and lows, but these moments are not contradictory—they complement each other. Challenges are growth opportunities, and struggles are essential for the lessons they bring.
In entrepreneurship, the Law of Polarity reminds us to embrace both sides of the experience. Difficulties can reveal areas for improvement, while successes provide motivation. These contrasting experiences aren't something to avoid, but to accept as necessary for growth and balance. Emotions also follow this law: we experience both joy and frustration and understanding this duality allows us to appreciate the depth of our emotional experience.
By recognising that both "positive" and "negative" moments exist in tandem, we can move through with more resilience, understanding that each phase—whether of growth or stagnation—contributes to the bigger picture. This law teaches us that without one side of the coin, we wouldn’t fully appreciate the other, and both are needed for progress.
I’ve learned to see setbacks as stepping stones. For example, if something I’ve tried doesn’t meet my expectations, I analyse what went wrong, refine my approach, and use the experience to grow. Trusting that challenges hold the seeds of success keeps me moving forward.
11. The Law of Rhythm
Everything operates in cycles, including business.
Recognising this is key to maintaining balance and sustainability. I’ve learned to honour the natural ebbs and flows that come with running a business. During slower seasons, instead of pushing through, I allow myself the space to rest, reflect, and recharge. It’s in those quieter moments that I can step back and plan for the next phase, ensuring I’m aligned with my energy and my goals.
For example, I recently took a full 4-month break to heal after a procedure. Instead of trying to work through the recovery, I intentionally created space for healing. At first, it felt like a pause, but looking back, I see that it was one of the most productive phases I’ve had. I wasn't trying to force progress or maintain a fast pace; I gave myself permission to slow down and be present in the process of healing.
This time off allowed me to reflect on my business, reorganise my thoughts, and recharge my creative energy. The result? I’ve been able to create so many new opportunities. By stepping back, I gave myself the space to come up with fresh ideas, refine my approach, and come up with new ways to serve my clients. The break wasn’t a setback—it was a time of realignment and renewal, which has now translated into more clarity and excitement about where I’m headed.
It’s a powerful reminder that cycles in business, just like in life, aren’t something to fight against—they’re something to flow with. Rest and reflection are as valuable as hard work and hustle.
12. The Law of Gender
Masculine and feminine energies must coexist for harmony.
The Law of Gender doesn’t refer to male or female, but rather to the masculine and feminine principles that exist within everything, including ourselves, our businesses, and the world around us. These principles are not about gender identity or biological sex, but rather about energies or forces that govern creation, balance, and flow.
The masculine principle is often associated with structure, logic, action, and direction. It’s the energy of doing, achieving, and setting goals. The feminine principle, on the other hand, is linked to intuition, creativity, receptivity, and nurturing. It’s the energy of being, allowing, and flowing with the natural rhythm of things.
In the context of entrepreneurship, both principles are needed for a business to thrive. The masculine energy provides the foundation, strategy, and focus—setting clear intentions, making plans, and taking action toward those goals. Without this masculine energy, things might feel scattered, unstructured, and lacking direction.
However, the feminine energy is just as essential. It’s what allows space for creativity, inspiration, and intuition. The feminine energy nurtures the vision, allowing it to grow and evolve naturally, rather than forcing it. Without the feminine principle, a business may feel rigid, over-controlled, or disconnected from its true purpose.
When these two energies are in balance, we experience flow, harmony, and alignment in our work. We set clear intentions (masculine) and create space for ideas and solutions to emerge organically (feminine). For example, while the masculine energy drives us to set goals, the feminine energy helps us tune into our inner guidance to ensure those goals are aligned with our deeper values and vision. The masculine energy pushes us forward, while the feminine energy helps us reflect, recalibrate, and rest when needed.
As entrepreneurs, learning to work with both energies is key. In a business, the masculine energy might show up as processes, systems, and productivity. The feminine energy might show up as creativity, intuition, and a deep connection to why you’re doing the work. When we embrace both sides, we create businesses that are not just profitable but also sustainable, fulfilling, and aligned with our values.
The Law of Gender teaches us that the balance between the masculine and feminine principles is what makes life, growth, and business possible. Without one or the other, we miss out on the full spectrum of what’s available to us. It’s not about one being superior to the other—it’s about integration, flow, and alignment between these two complementary forces.
I balance strategic planning (masculine energy) with creativity and intuition (feminine energy). For example, I combine structured goal-setting with creative brainstorming sessions. This duality allows me to run a business that feels aligned and sustainable.
